This month we’ve got you sorted with the best Berwick has to offer – from kid’s carnivals to AFLW games there is something in this newsletter for every member of the family.

Dad’s Matter: Cook it with Dad classes

The Cook it with Dad program is an opportunity for fathers and their children to experience cooking together and learn how to create healthy meals for the whole family to enjoy. Get to know the parents in your local community by attending these classes, which run every Saturday from 10.30AM to 12.30PM and are located at the Selandra Family and Community Centre.

Registrations are essential. To register, contact City of Casey on 9705 5200 or email dadsmatter@casey.vic.gov.au.

Mother and daughter yoga class

Head down to Casey Central Park for a free weekly yoga class for mothers and daughters. Learn all about yoga and meditation and how they can improve your mental and physical wellbeing. A qualified yoga instructor will guide you through a sequence of poses, stretches and breathing exercises over the course of an hour. Classes start at 9:00AM and will be running every Sunday until 26 of April.

AFLW Round 5 – Melbourne vs West Coast Eagles with Aussie Rules intro skills workshop

Cheer on the Melbourne Demons women’s team at Casey Fields against the newly formed West Coast Eagles. Before the game kicks off, the AFLW league will be hosting an introductory skills workshop about Aussie Rules for mums and their children to enjoy. This workshop is a great opportunity women and children to get active and learn new skills. Entry is free and make sure you get in early for the workshop before the game starts at 3:10PM on Saturday 8 March.

2020 Casey Cup

This autumn, the largest soccer tournament ever to be held in Casey will be kicking off over three exciting days. Head to Casey Fields over the weekend of Friday 27 March for the perfect way to prepare for the 2020 soccer season. The 2020 Casey Cup will see over 300 teams take part and draw over 4,000 competitors and officials from across Australia and overseas. There will also be entertainment for the entire family including soccer activities, drills and a range of food trucks. The tournament is open to all age groups including U7-U18 boys and girl’s divisions.

Casey Kids Carnival

You don’t want to miss this! The Casey Kids Carnival is one of the City of Casey’s most anticipated events of the year. Perfect for young children and their families, this carnival will include jumping castles, free rides, interactive games, live performances, face painting, art and crafts and a petting zoo. Visit Akoonah Park in Berwick 11:00AM on Saturday 28 March for a jam-packed day of free family fun and entertainment.
